Weeds Season 7

Weeds is an American television comedy on the Showtime cable network created by Jenji Kohan. The central character is Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker), a widowed mother of two boys who begins selling marijuana to support her family after her husband abruptly dies. Over the course of the show, she and her family become more entangled in illegal activities.

The primary locale of the first three seasons are the fictional town of Agrestic, California. By seasons four and five, it takes place in the fictional beachside of Ren Mar. During the sixth season, the family relocates to Seattle, Washington before moving to Dearborn, Michigan.
The show debuted on the network on August 7, 2005, earning the channel's highest ratings, and the debut of the fifth season had 1.3 million viewers. Among the awards the show has earned include two Satellite Awards, one Golden Globe Award, Writers Guild of America Award, Young Artist Award, and an Emmy Award.

The Weeds Season 7 will premiere the first of 13 episodes on June 27, 2011. Kohan indicated in an interview with TV Guide that the seventh season may be the last, feeling that seven years was a "good run"; however, a spokesman for Showtime denied any decision having been reached. On April 20, 2011, the season 7 teaser trailer was made available online.[citation needed]

It has been reported that the seventh season will take place in New York City, picking up three years after Nancy's confession at the end of season six. At this point, Nancy will have spent time in jail and the other Botwins will have established lives in Denmark.
