Martin Short, Aidan Quinn Bring Legal Aid and Money to WEEDS

With a top-notch guest star roster, SHOWTIME’s comedy series WEEDS is getting ready for its season 7 premiere on Monday, June 27 at 10pm ET/PT.

The legendary Martin Short headlines the list as an eccentric attorney, while Aidan Quinn will play a charismatic investment firm CEO. Jennifer Jason Leigh returns as Nancy’s estranged sister Jill Price-Grey, who has been watching Little Stevie while Nancy was incarcerated. Lindsay Sloane has signed on as Maxeen, an eccentric conceptual artist who Andy (Kirk) meets at a gallery event, and David Clennon will play her husband, Charles. Pablo Schreiber will star as Demetri Ravitch, an army supply sergeant and brother of Nancy’s former cellmate Zoya (guest star Olga Sosnovska), who begins to supply Nancy in her newest venture. Gary Anthony Williams will play Ed Watson, Nancy’s halfway house counselor.

Weeds stars Mary-Louise Parker as Nancy Botwin, a former suburban mom-turned-pot dealer. We pick up the new season as Nancy has just completed a three-year stint in Federal prison for the murder of Pilar Zuazo. She’s now in New York and has to re-start her business from scratch. But she also must complete her probation in a strictly monitored halfway house, which means she’ll have to deal before curfew. Meanwhile, the boys – Andy (Justin Kirk), Silas (Hunter Parrish) and Shane (Alexander Gould) – are Big Apple-bound after camping out in Copenhagen. Of course, they will have Doug (Kevin Nealon) in tow. They also will be stirring up major trouble!
